Jeff Adams:
So Alan you basically give everybody a presentation that they
can take home with them and use at their lunches is what you're
saying?
Alan Cowgill:
That's exactly right. That's exactly right.
Jeff Adams:
Is it a PowerPoint presentation?
Alan Cowgill:
Yep. The whole presentation that I use – and what I've got
is a customization form that where it pops up on the CD- ROM and
they fill in their name, address, Web site, hit a button and bang,
it populates all 26 different files, advertising and everything
else that I've got on this CD plus the 37 slide presentation.
Okay? So they get to use my presentation and it's phenomenal.
It sells the program for you. And if you create it on your own,
if you go out and create it on your own, take 100 hours to put
that together and then you gotta go test it. You know, if I give
you 20 hours of that at $50 an hour, that's $1,000. Putting the
slides together at 100 hours is $5,000 and my system has been
tested all over the U.S., Canada and Australia.
And then you gotta go out and have a little bit of SEC knowledge
and then you gotta – you pay an attorney for that $200 for
20 hours, that's $4,000. You know that adds up to $14,000 right
there, and obviously I can't charge that for boot camp, but I
gotta tell you there is two other gentlemen out there that are
charging $10,000 to have folks come in and learn about private
lending and who do you think they ask to come in and speak for
them?
Jeff Adams:
You.
Alan Cowgill:
Me. So they're charging $10,000 and they're asking me to speak
for them so I find that very interesting. Anyhow –
Jeff Adams:
And they probably came to your boot camp too, I bet.
Alan Cowgill:
Yep, yep. One of them sure did.
Jeff Adams:
I can tell you this. You know – you're the real deal; you're
the originator. As far as I know you're like one of the first
guys who actually came out with this private lending course and
it was – definitely a need.
Alan Cowgill:
Well, you know, you learn from your pain sometimes and I went
through some pain and hard knocks like you talked about and I
found the roadmap. The secret to this whole thing is I found the
roadmap on this and I deliver that to folks on a silver platter
at my live event. They get it all. They get it all.
Jeff Adams:
Real quick, Alan, the other thing too is a friend of mine actually
went to your boot camp and he told me this story on how I believe
the first or second day you lined up like a gazillion dollars
in private money that night, you had a homework assignment? You
want to share that real fast?
